Since our foundation, we have set the goal to only emply sustainable, ethical, ecological and intelligent solutions, promoting low impact practices, a healthier lifestyle and responsible choices.

We always endorse innovation and new technologies to lower the impact of production as much as possible, replacing chemicals with natural substances and investing in research towards eco-friendly solutions. To promote a responsible behavior within our company we set 15 rules that were generated from a reflection on the 3 aspects of our daily work life.

Waste and garbage are synonym with environmental neglect, this is why we expect our professionals to have an ethical and responsible behavior towards our ecosystem, forcing selection and division of waste: paper, glass, plastics and organic waste are each destined to their specific container. In this field, we wanted to intensify our efforts by heavily reducing the amount of plastic that is consumed by our employees, gradually eliminating all consumables.

We gave each of our employees a steel, reusable water bottle, preventing more than 1000 to be discarded since the year before and, to further reduce waste, we transitioned completely to completely recyclable single dose coffee capsules. These methods helped our employees to be more aware of their impact on our planet.

We also focused on reducing paper waste, diverting most of our previously printed communication to digital. Now we manage to keep printing to a bare minimum, reducing paper waste, ink pollution and maintenance of machines, fully embracing modern communication technologies.
When working in communal spaces, hygiene is very important. We transitioned to cloth towel that further reduce paper waste and electricity costs.

Sustainability means Responsibility

Energy expense

The switch to renewable energy sources to reduce the impact on weather and pollution is another big step our company took.

Sustainable transportation is the ideal and smart choice to reduce the our impact on the environment while being more efficient and quick. We strongly believe that new technologies and innovations, when combined with a good ethic, can make a big difference; single behavior has a huge impact on general awareness towards a more eco-friendly living.

To reach a true integration of sustainable transport, we think that an incentive towards using new technologies instead of old ones must take place. Our company is always trying to encourage the use of more sustainable means of transport: from carpooling to the use of an electric bike, we can all make a difference that our global impact has.

Green ICT is a term that is used to describe a whole range of processes that favor sustainability; it’s an ample concept that is not only specific to those who produce computers and peripherals but to anyone using technlogy. During a historical moment like ours the use of low impact technologies is critical; for this reason, we at ProduceShop, use a range of ultra efficient computers, low power LED screen and make an extra effort to modulate heating and air conditioning for a reduced and optimal energy consumption.

One of the advantages of a mostly digital company like ours is the ever evolving customer experience. Speaking in delivery terms, having a logistics plant that is optimized, transparent and efficient is crucial for anyone that deal with an order flux like ours.
That is why, with a green mentality, we have implemented all the new digital communication solutions, like virtual conferencing and meeting, in order to better our employees living while optimizing performance. One of the main factors that impacts logistical and distribution related pollution is the transport by truck: we have worked hard to be able, through meticulous planning and strategy engineering, to reduce the number of transports, opting for efficiency and optimization. We also rely on a network of selected manufacturers that share our green vision and are completely focused on reducing production impact.

This green logistics approach, allowed us to build a smart plan of distribution, greatly decreasing our carbon footprint while increasing profits. Another huge pillar of our green dedication is the heavy use of recycled and regenerated materials. All these measures introduced to benefit the environment actually define our business approach with our clients and customer, also raising their general satisfaction.

Through innovation we are committing to protecting our planet, making an effort to consciously use available natural resources through a long process of optimization of production and distribution. As a company that is specialized in the production and distribution of furniture, we actively participate in the manufacturing of indoor and outdoor furniture pieces that comply to the FSC standard, featuring a high percentage of recycled plastic. Our objective is to promote awareness on the need to stop waste generation while incentivising the use of recyclable and reclaimable raw materials as a viable source for manufacturing new products.

A sustainable policy involves packaging as well, as it’s considered one of greater enemies in this battle for environment protection, immediately becoming waste after taking delivery of a product. Our smart packaging policy revolves around the use of minimal use of boxes that are all made from multiple-time-recycled paper and cardboard; it’s an innovative concept that greatly reduces waste.
